Obituary of Aletha Jones
It is with sadness that the family of Aletha Doreen (Phillips) Jones announces her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital Friday, March 7, 2025. Aletha was born in Rusagonis, NB, on March 2, 1936, to the late Jack H. and Annie V.M. (Davidson) and was the wife of the late Murray G. Jones.
Aletha leaves behind her son, Wayne (Tina); one grandchild, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Esther Jones; brother-in-law, Robert Jones (Alvina); several nieces, nephews, and a large extended family. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her only brother, Jackie Phillips (Doris), only sister, Colleen Farrell (Jack), and also by her brothers and sisters-in-law.
Aletha was a member of Gibson Memorial United Church and L.O.B.A. # 423 in Rusagonis.
Aletha’s family wish to thank the doctors and staff at the DECH Emergency Department and at Hanwell Special Care Home for the kindness and care given to Aletha.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, from 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm. A memorial service in the J. A. McAdam Memorial Chapel will begin at 3:00 pm immediately following the visiting. Rev. David Phillips will officiate.
