Obituary of Annette Marie Belliveau
It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our mother Annette Belliveau of Minto, NB. Annette passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side at Hospice House Fredericton.
Annette entered the workforce full time in the 80’s at Canada Post as Postmaster, a job she truly loved. She was a strong and loving single Mom, who shaped us into the strong and independent women we are today. Despite the challenges, she provided a loving and warm home for her three girls. Mom enjoyed bowling and being a Team Captain. Mom had a strong Catholic faith which led her on a yearly pilgrimage to Sainte-Anne-de-Beaupres with her friends from church. In Mom’s later years she joined the Yoga ladies.
Survived by her daughters, Debbie (Andrew) Craik, Rita (Jay) Maxwell, Susan (Steve) Harquail; grandchildren, Wesley Trueman, Samantha Brown, Kyle Brown; step grandchildren, Ben and Simon Craik; siblings, Elsie LeClair, Rene (Louisa) Babineau, Elda (Norman) Richard, Emery (Dorothy) and Juliette (Malcolm) Moore.
She is predeceased by her parents, Sophie and Gerald Babineau; her beloved partner, Robert (Bob) Gormley, and siblings, Aline Barnett and Armand Babineau.
Mom had very special neighbours who looked out for her in many ways, who we cannot thank enough: Wanda Wilson and Sylvia Sypher. We are so very grateful for the care Mom was given at Hospice House by all the staff. During this difficult time, they went above and beyond to ensure Mom was comfortable and our needs were met, allowing us to focus on Mom.
Due to COVID there was no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass was held at Holy Rosary Church, Minto, at 13:00 on Saturday, December 3rd. A burial followed at Saint Bridget’s Cemetery. The funeral mass may be watched at https://vimeo.com/777707852 . There will be a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice House Fredericton, https://hospicefredericton.ca/donate/, would be greatly appreciated. For those unable to attend the funeral mass, a recording will be made available on Annette’s obituary the following day.
