Fran and I were so sorry to read about the recent passing of Bob. We were aware of the health issues he had over the years, yet he always had a smile on his face, a positive attitude, and was eager to have a good chat on a number of issues. We will always remember meeting you guys on the city trails and I can still see him waiting for you at the "Kitchen" when we were discussing financial issues. He was never far away. Sharon we will be thinking of you, especially over the next several days and weeks. Our prayers go out to you and the rest of the family. Terry and Fran Christie

Daily I say a prayer of thanks for all the people in my life, even the "stranger". Bob was one of those "strangers". We met briefly earlier this year as members of the Wilmot United Church Men's Meditation Group. Bob's kind and thoughtful comments on his spiritual life was a great inspiration to all of us. He often mentioned the great Jesuit Theologian, Teillard de Chardin whom I greatly admire as well. I am confident that Bob will not be a "stranger" in the Presence of the God he loves. God Bless.

As written by others, I would like to reinforce that Bob was the kindest person I have ever known. He was so helpful and knowledgeable about so many subjects. As I see it, Bob was called because our Lord decided that additional support for IT in heaven was required. My condolences and wish to stay strong to Sharon, Cara and her family and Kris and Ian.

I have good memories of my years working with Bob, his stories, his humour, and his kindness. I recall taking an interest in a little desk calendar from Red Carpet Coffee Services that he had on his desk one day, and against my wishes he insisted I take it; that was Bob! I still have it on my desk and use it daily, nearly thirty years later. I never eat cinnamon rolls but what I think of your delicious "sticky buns" that Bob would share with us. My sincere condolences, Sharon. He will be missed.

Dear Sharon: Hi. I am one of the Trappist Fathers. I was moved to hear of Bob's passing. He is one of the few who could only ever stay with me, in life or death. I'm so thankful for his appearing in our lives. Bob was beautiful in his humanity, and an example of the spiritual beauty which happens when a person approches God. How necessary the reminder, for someone who has chosen the life I have. You were a blessing for him; thanks again to you both. Hope you will be able to stop by some time. P. Graham

I worked a number of years with Bob in Fredericton at the Unisys offices. My memories of Bob are of a dedicated and happy co-worker. He always brought a smile, joyful personality and saw the good in people and in every situation. I remember when we moved the office into the house/mansion and Bob myself and Tony would find frost on our desks in the morning and having to stoke the wood stove on those cold winter mornings to stay warm. We had many a day of hard work and joyous laughter and team work not experienced since. Bob is still with us, every time we think of him and his laugh will linger with me for a long time to come.

I was so fortunate to have Bob and Sharon in my life growing up. Taking piano lessons from Sharon and eventually playing harp with her, I was able to have many hours of conversation with them. They both showed me what it meant to be a good citizen of the community, selflessly donating your time to help others, and a passion for traveling, learning, and keeping active no matter your age. Thank you for being a guiding light Bob.
