Obituary of Linden Mary Smart

It is with sadness that we announce death Linden Mary Smart on Friday, December 23, 2022 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton. Born in Billericay, Brentwood County, England on January 1, 1948, she was the loving wife of the late Rev. Charles Smart.

Linden is survived by her brother-in-law, Thomas Smart (Irene) of ON; niece, Cathy; nephew, Greg; as well as a great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Charles, Linden was predeceased by her parents, Reginald and Eileen (Hall) Parsons, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Radburn.

Linden was an active member of St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church in Nashwaaksis, Fredericton. She and her husband, Charlie had spent many years in full-time Christian service, first with Church Army, then in parish ministry.

A memorial service will be held from St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 75 Main Street, on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 am with Rev. Paul Ranson officiating. For those who wish, donations in Linden’s memory can be made to the Anglican Parish of Douglas and Nashwaaksis, 75 Main St., Fredericton, or Pine Grove Nursing Home.
