Obituary of Heather Michelle Roxborough
Heather Roxborough was a strong and passionate woman who passed away far too early. Heather spent her last days at Hospice House after bravely living with pancreatic cancer. She died early on Saturday, January 7th, peacefully with her family close by.
Heather leaves behind her parents, Charlene and Jim; her brother Steven and his wife Sara as well as their two beautiful children – Morgan and Miles – who were two of the loves of Heather’s life. She fortunately was able to meet 3-month old Miles at Christmas. She will also be missed by her furry companion of the last several years, Willow
Heather was always a compassionate and intelligent person. She learned to talk at a young age and had a beautiful way with words from that point onwards. Heather excelled in all of her pursuits and ultimately decided to pursue her interest in psychology earning degrees from UNB and UBC. After obtaining her degree from UBC, Heather returned to Fredericton where she worked as a clinical psychologist.
Heather was passionate about her work. She developed a specialty in working with military personnel, police officers and first responders. Her commitment and devotion to her clients was evident to everyone that knew her.
Saying thanks is not enough to the staff, nurses and doctors at the DECH Oncology Unit and Hospice House. Heather was treated with the utmost care and dignity. Those involved in her care will not be forgotten. Our thanks also goes to Dr. Anand Irrinki, her long time family phyician
Please, in lieu of flowers, if you choose to make a donation, do so to either Hospice House or the DECH Oncology Unit.
Visitation for friends and family will take place at McAdam's Funeral Home on Thursday, January 12, from 1-3 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Heather’s life will be held in the Bobak Room, Delta Hotel, Fredericton, on Saturday, January 14, 2023 from 1 - 3 pm. .
