Obituary of Lillian Antoinette Morrison
It is with great sadness that the family of Lillian Antoinette Morrison announce her passing at York Care Centre in Fredericton, New Brunswick, on Saturday April 15, 2023. With family at her side, it was a peaceful transition.
Born on December 6, 1930, in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Annie Jacklin and wife of the late Henry Morrison. In addition to her husband and mother, Lillian was predeceased by two sons, Gregory and James.
Lillian was a very strong and determined woman who held a lifetime of experience and stories. She loved to laugh. She was fondly known as Lil, Puga and GG to friends and family whom she loved to spend time with. She enjoyed nature, butterflies and dragonflies. Gardening was one of her favourite pastimes. She enjoyed growing a variety of flowers and had a special love for rose bushes. She took art classes and loved to paint and give her finished pieces away as special gifts.
She is survived by her children, Jeanne, George, Joanne and Jacqueline; grandchildren, Shasta, Ashlee, Megan, Nicole, Crystal, Daniel, Michelle, Marie, Sindy, Mark, Jesse, Danielle and Lacey; her sister, Janet; and by several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Lillian's family would like to thank York Care Centre and Eden's Garden Special Care Home for the wonderful care they provided during her time there. The kindness and compassion they showed was truly evident in the way they cared for her. We are grateful.
