Obituary of Bessie Viola McIvor
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bessie McIvor on October 18th, 2020, at York Care Centre in Fredericton, NB. Born on March 27th, 1937, she was the loving partner of the late Edward McIvor and daughter of the late Emma (Trites) and William Powers.
Bessie leaves to mourn her loving daughters Jenny Long (Doug), and Lorna Francis (Mark); son Wayne (Lori); grandchildren Randy Graham, René Graham, Michael Wright, James Wright (Jasmine), Rosalee Long, Cameron Chase, and Alex Chase; great grandchildren Hannah Graham, Simon Daigle, Kiara Wright, Carson Wright, Camdon Wright, Harmony Wright, Octavia Wright, Jessie Henderson, Brody Henderson, Sabrina, Patience, and Charlie; special great-grandchildren; sister Rita Steeves; niece Linda Long (Vernon), as well as numerous family members both near and far.
In addition to her husband, Bessie is predeceased by Winston Powers, Garfield Powers, Muriel Steeves, Rose Hatfield, Irene Peterson, Ralph McIvor, Robert McIvor, Frank McIvor, and Jack McIvor.
Those who knew her would agree that Bessie was a woman who was very compassionate. She found great joy in helping others, and she loved her family very dearly. She will be so dearly missed.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, October 22nd, 2020, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM with a service of remembrance to follow, officiated by Rev. Ralph Irving, in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel.
