Aidin was a neighbor of ours for many years. I didn’t know the rest of her family but she was not shy to come and visit with my husband and I anytime we were out with our dog Jack and then our dog Digby. She would come running over to chat and give the dogs some love. She was the sweetest kid that was always on her bike with a ball cap and sunglasses on. Oh and the brightest smile. I am so sorry for your loss. Thinking of all of you and sending our deepest condolences.

Aidin was easily the funniest and most welcoming person I ever met going to school at UNB. Our first class together I knew nobody and Aidin offered to be my partner for our icebreaker interview. She was super friendly and silly and turned a stressful first today into one of my favourite class memories. She cracked the whole class up with her tattoo that day, the first of many laughs she gave me and I'm sure everyone else in that room

Aidin was truly one of the kindest people I’ve met through the UNB BRSS program. On our first day of school I walked into the classroom looking for a spot to sit. Even though we had never met, Aidin gave me a huge smile and invited me to sit with her. I had the privilege of working with her in school, and will be forever so grateful for her answering my many, many late night messages asking for help with assignments and reassurance that we would survive the semester. The last day of exams, I showed up early, and found Aidin sitting outside the Center waiting for Greg’s exam to begin. I was SO nervous and was reviewing my notes when a puppy ran in. Aidin jumped up and invited me to pet the puppy with her; immediately making me feel better and ready for the exam. Aidin was such a strong part of the UNB family and she will be deeply missed around campus; she was so clearly respected by all of our professors and was truly a friend to all.

We only knew Aidin for a few short months but she made a huge impact. My daughter wanted to give ball a try so she signed up for a skills and drills session this spring. Aidin was leading it and she was always smiling, laughing and having fun. Her love of the game was infectious and Josie was excited to be on her U15/17 team. Aidin's happy and positive vibe made Josie's first experience with the sport a positive one. The last time we saw Aidin was last Thursday, June, 1 at Mactaquac. She organized a team bonding session and showed up with a cooler full of treats for the team. She laughed, and played in the water with the girls. She was a bright light. We are shocked and saddened by this news. Our hearts go out to her family and friends.

Diane, John, Sydney & Reagan, Words can't express how my heart breaks for all of you and the world. Aiden was such a special and amazing young lady. She wasn't like most young people who avoid parents, not Aiden, she would take a seat and engage you in conversation and you could always count on her to make you smile and feel better at the end of the conversation. I remember the many games of basketball or baseball and no matter win or lose that girl always had a smile and was kind to all. I hope you find strength in the beautiful memories of Aiden. She was truly an amazing young women who touch everyone’s heart.

John, Diane, Sydney and Reagan, my heart goes out to you. I have many memories of Aidin at our house, running through our yard and early knocks on the door to see if Savannah was up and ready to play. I will miss seeing her drive into the neighbourhood just to hang out with whoever might be around (I remember teasing her when she got her license and first drove into the subdivision finding it hard to believe that she could possibly be grown up enough to drive...then before I knew it she was in university! When did I get so old??). I remember the drawings she would make that we posted on our fridge, the cards she used to bring us at Christmas time (even after you moved into town), when she brought her puppy by to show us, so very proud. I will remember the sparkle in her eye, the quick smile and inevitable laugh that always came every time our paths crossed. The world has lost a beautiful and unforgettable soul.

There are no words to begin to offer condolences for this sort of loss. Aidin was the kind of person that everyone hopes to one day have in their inner circle. Though I didn’t get to know her on a personal level, we met at UNB events where she was always outspoken and respectful. I wish I could have gotten to know Aidin better and I am hopeful that maybe this will be the case in another lifetime. I truly believe some souls are too beautiful for this world. I consider myself lucky to have intersected paths along the way. Sending love and good vibes to all who knew this wonderful human.
