I was so shocked and saddened to hear about the loss of Roz. Roz and I were room mates in Banff at the Rimrock Resort and from day 1 we were thick as thieves and up to no good. She was a shining light with so much energy it was contagious. I’ve never known anyone who was such a risk taker in my life! She was thoughtful, kind, a joy to be around and most of all a loyal friend.
Over the years, Roz and I lost touch but found our way back to each other in Saint John when I was working there. We stayed in touch through all the years and while it wasn’t as often as either of us likely would have liked, we knew there was connection.
My deepest condolences to the family. She will be missed so very deeply but will live in our hearts and memories forever.
Julie (Smith) Farnsworth

Tyler and family, I was really devastated when I heard the news of Roz passing away. We met in 1990 during my first year at St FX and we were friends ever since. Many of my memories of that time involved Roz and I was lucky to have crossed paths with her. After until university, one of my favourite memories seeing her in Ottawa and she hadn’t change; Roz was still the same fun-loving, happy and caring person that she had always been. I can’t begin to understand everything that you and your family are going through. Roz’s presence affected all of us and she will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Our condolences and we are very sorry for your loss.

Rosalind (aka Roz) was my buddy in Beckley, WV when we were in our 20s and still trying to figure out life. Back then, I knew her as a fan of pop culture, connoisseur of boy bands and knew her way around getting the best pics of artists pre and post show. We would watch award shows together with plenty of snacks and have fun in chat rooms, when that was a thing. But mostly we enjoyed having a kinship in thinking of “what next” for our future. I even knew back then that if she has kids and were ever to have a girl, that she would name her Cecelia.
I always thought that if we would meet up again, it would be with our families or maybe just with our husbands to watch UFC. Or even meet up in Vegas to escort our Moms on a trip. But it’s difficult to comprehend that now it’s not going to happen.
I’ll forever remember the good times and laughs we shared. Praying for her and her sweet family to be surrounded with love, strength and support through this difficult time and comforted knowing that she’s reunited with her father. We will all miss her so much.

Tyler, family and children, I am so, so very heartbroken for all of you and your incredible loss. I was blessed to have worked with Roz while at Hoffmann-La Roche. I have very fond memories of spending time with her during National Sales meetings- she was always happy to see you and made everyone feel appreciated and better after every encounter with her. Her energy was full and contagious. I also felt the same when we would run into each other at home (in Saint John NB), as we both lived in Ontario and out west respectively. While we always felt connected working at a Hoffman-La Roche Pharmaceuticals, we also felt connected for having attended Saint Malachy’s (me for French Immersion). We were both VERY proud of our roots in Saint John.
May God grant you strength, comfort and peace at this incredibly difficult time. Please know you have many people sending love, prayers and hugs constantly your way. Again, so sorry for your devastating loss.

I am so sad to hear of Roz’s passing, and am keeping you all in my thoughts at this difficult time. As Principal of the school where Sebastian, Gabriel and CeCe attended, I was fortunate to know this incredible family, woman and mother. I have so many fond memories of chatting with Roz and many homemade gifts from the Neufeld Family. Take care of each other-and let others do the same for you.

Roz picks out the DimSum restaurant in Miami and I have been going there regularly ever since. Aunt Lucy, Roz, and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

The last time I spoke to Roz was in April 2022 when Aunt Lucy wanted to take me out to eat while they were here in Miami for a stopover after their cruise. Roz found Tropical Chinese on the internet since they wanted DimSum. I remember Roz ordering and enjoying. Afterwards, I dropped her off at Dolphin Mall and she went shopping. After an hour, Roz opted to take an Uber back to the hotel because Roz had not even begun to go to the store to look for what she was shopping for. Lol.
The other two times were at the airport when her father passed and when we all met up in Las Vegas so our mothers could enjoy the food and sites. God be with you, Roz and your family.

Roz was such a joy to be with. We had so many fun moments together at UofC and starting out as young professionals. I brought her as my date to the 10th anniversary of the Flamea winning the Stanley Cup. We laughed so hard when we got the picture of us with Al MacInnis and Gary Suter, as we look like we were on a double date with them. It’s such a great memory. Im so grateful for all of those great times. She will be missed.
