I wish to pay tribute to my lifelong friend, Lorna Wood MacNeil, who passed to her eternal home on February 28. We became best friends when we were 3 years old in our village of Baie Verte, NB. Although our paths diverged we remained close especially in recent years. In 2003 I presented Lorna with New Brunswick’s first Vice-regal commendation for volunteer service. I remember especially that we made desserts together for 350 guests who welcomed the new millennium at Old Government House, December 31, 1999. Heartfelt thanks, dear Lorna!
