Obituary of Leonard Morris Lamont

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Leonard Morris Lamont announce his passing at home on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the age of 69. Born in Bath, New Brunswick, on July 22, 1954, he was the son of the late Frederick and Ruth (Miller) Lamont.

Leonard leaves behind his children, Nicholas Lamont (Joan) of Knoxford, NB, and Sara Blakeney (Dean) of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Charlie, Lucy and Henry; brother, Leland Lamont (Marlene) of Florenceville-Bristol, NB; sister, Judy Price (George) of Fredericton; former spouse and mother of Nicholas and Sara, Elizabeth Lamont.

Leonard and family had a quiet life in Florenceville-Bristol, spending time with family and taking Sunday drives. Leonard gave 30+ years to being a custodian within the school system. He loved his job and would come home with many stories about the little ones that brightened his days. Leonard and family spent relaxing Summers in PEI making memories and playing many intense games of Dice. Leonard enjoyed travelling when he could to see his lifelong friend and family in Maine and Colorado. He was a collector of trinkets and car memorabilia that he loved passing down to his grandchildren.

The family will be having a private celebration of life. For those who wish, donations in Leonard’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
