Obituary of Royce Coburn Vance

It is with broken hearts that the family of Royce Vance of Mactaquac announces his passing August 31, 2023, at the DECH with his family by his side.  Born in Harvey Station March 23, 1958, he was the son of the late Orville and Lorna (Kelly) Vance.

Royce is survived by Louise Mason, his fiancée and life partner of 33 years, Louise’s parents Mary and Clinton Mason, sister Debbie (Dwight) Swan, brother-in-law Ted (Susanne) Mason and his nephews, Alex Mason, Jamey and Ryan Swan.

Royce was employed driving transport for the dairy farmers of New Brunswick for 40 years. He enjoyed his work and the many stories shared with dairy producers and his coworkers along the way. In his spare time he was found maintaining his vehicles, snowmobiling, having lunch at Tim Hortons and travelling with Louise down the east coast of Maine. He will also be missed by his cat Lucky who was constantly by his side for the last 8 years.

There will be no visitation or service at this time.  For those who wish, donations in Royce’s memory can be made to the DECH Palliative Care Unit, the Alzheimer’s Association or the Huntington Society of Canada.
