Obituary of Pauline Sharon Willis

Pauline Sharon Willis, 77, of Fredericton, NB passed away after a short illness surrounded by her family and friends at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital on December 8, 2023.

Pauline was born June 17, 1946 to Kenneth and Susan (Bourgoyne) MacBeth in Mazerolle Settlement, New Brunswick.

Pauline is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ralph Willis; their son, Derrick Willis (Terri), of Fredericton; and her beloved grandchildren, Cameron and Andrew Willis. She is also survived by her siblings, Ronald Edney, Allen MacBeth (Lois), Edith Carroll (Fred), Marie Thompson (Floyd), Theresa Abromaitas (Vitas); and sister in-law, Lillian Edney. She will be missed by her good friend, Wendy Staples as well as many friends, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pauline was predeceased by her infant son, Brent Willis, and her brother, Raymond Edney.

Pauline was a bright spark in the lives of those around her; she loved to shop, always dressed for any occasion, loved a good sports car and anything shiny. She was full of wit and one-liners especially when it came to her husband and was fiercely loyal and protective of her ‘boys’ (Derrick, Cameron, and Andrew), who she doted on endlessly. Pauline was strong willed, her strength through her battle with MS was admirable, and you could even say she may have been a bit stubborn at times.

Special thanks to those who provided her with amazing care in the DECH; Dr. Marr, Dr. Harvey, Dr. Kim and Dr. Sainz and all the staff in the CCU and Palliative care.

Visitation will be held at McAdams Funeral Home, 160 York Street, Fredericton, NB, on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 3:00 until 5:00 pm. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, her memory be celebrated by making a donation to the Canadian MS Foundation or by spending time with those you love over the holidays.

Pauline, you are now at peace, but you will live on forever in our hearts. We love you. Rest in peace.
