I was sad to read of Jean’s passing. What a wonderful woman she was - an inspiration to many women. I have fond memories of her when I met her with Bob, many, many years ago. My most sincere condolences to you Bob and all your family.

So sorry to read of the passing of your beloved Jean. She was a gift to many though I was blessed to have met her through the retired teacher quilting group and held much love and esteem for her and did her very close friends there and in other activities she was apart of and no less loved. She was a teacher through and through. So sorry for your loss. I wrote a poem for her 90th Birthday you may find among her things. My thoughts were and still are genuine and sincere. God bless you all. Every comforting condolence I pray find their way to you. Debbie Perry You may visit my facebook site for pictures I share where I can't upload from this computer yet.

I knew Jean when she lived on McKnight Street. Had many lovely visits. Jean shared stories about her family and as it would be we found out I knew her niece Stephanie. I was amazed by her hand work which I understand was handed down to many of her nieces.
I Will always remember this lovely lady. So sorry for your loss.

My sincere condolences to Mrs West’s family and friends. She was indeed a special person who had a place in my heart.
I could not speak English when I began her class in the early 60s. It was so overwhelming and confusing as I didn’t have a clue what was going on, but was eager to learn.
She took extra time to help me learn to speak and write English and was so kind when I was ridiculed or bullied. Through the years, I thought of her often and once, many years ago, wrote her a letter of thanks for being the great teacher and human being she was.

Jean and Don were good friends to my Mom and Dad, Gwen and Ken Ball. Mom and Jean's friendship continued after the deaths of Ken and Don. I am thankful for that continued friendship and wish to express my condolences to Jean's family at their loss.

Our sympathy to family and her many friends at her passing. She was a friend to us and lived just across the hall from our apartment. Visits and conversations with Jean was always encouraging and enlightening. God bless as each of you travel your life journey in her absence.
