So sorry to hear of Jackie's passing. I worked with her at the Stan Cassidy Rehab many years ago. Although I worked in the kitchen, we worked closely with the nurses, as well as all the other staff. We actually became a working family so to speak. My deepest sympathy to all her family at this difficult time. Rest In Peace Jackie, you certainly will be missed.

We are very saddened to have lost Aunt Jackie. She and my mom took care of each other as children, being only two years apart in age. Aunt Jackie and my mom had many adventures together growing up and both shared many stories with us over the years!
I can also attest that Aunt Jackie definitely gave the best hugs!
Please accept our sincere condolences. We are keeping all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love from Mary, Sandy, Robin and Lisa.

Kevin and Family,
I was saddened to learn of your mother's passing whom I met at St. Dunstan's many years ago. During our years at CWL I often had the pleasure to work with her, especially at funeral receptions. During this time she talked of her days at the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Chatham where she trained and knew my aunts, Sisters Gladys and Ferne Rideout, who were involved with the administration and nursing training at that time as it was the hospital belonging to their Order, the RHSJ. She remembered them with fondness and I was so pleased to discover the connection. You mother was a beautiful presence and adored her family, often showing me pictures of her many grandchildren. She was also interested to learn that you and I were on the same staff at FHS. May you be comforted by precious memories in the days ahead. My deepest sympathy to you all, Diane

My brother, daughter and I were so saddened when Jackie passed. She was a wonderful roommate for our mother on 4NE. We enjoyed chatting with her and Everett, sharing treats and getting her warm blankets. They are both such sweethearts and you could feel the love they had for each other. Thank you for sharing her with us. May she rest in peace. Marilee and Jillian Rust and Dave Adams

I first crossed paths with Jackie at the age of 19, a time when I was still finding my footing in life. From the outset, Jackie's warmth and compassion were evident.
Jackie took me under her wing, imparting her wisdom and shaping the person I've become. She stepped into a maternal role, teaching me the virtues of kindness and patience, the joys of cooking, the resilience needed to face adversity, and the intricate art of motherhood.
Her dedication was profound when she traveled all the way to Newfoundland to support me during the birth of my first child. It was a significant moment, marking the first time she and Everett had been apart in three decades, yet she chose to be by my side for an entire week, offering her unwavering support.
Jackie was more than a maternal figure; she was a true friend. We shared countless moments together, from gym classes to shopping sprees, makeup sessions, laughter, tears, and the kind of aimless chatter that cements a friendship.
She introduced me to the simple pleasures of life, like the beauty of flowers, the comfort of rocking chairs, and her timeless songs of yesteryear. I cherish the memories of her singing my children to sleep, cradled in her arms.
And her knitting prowess was unmatched – from intricate sweaters to mittens designed for every season, her creations kept my children warm and stylish from their first moments leaving the hospital to every playful snowball fight.
Even in the warmer climate of North Carolina, Jackie's love reached us in the form of Becel margarine containers filled with fudge, which, despite melting during the journey, was a sweet reminder of her love for us.
Jackie was my mentor, my confidante, and a mother in every sense. Her absence leaves an irreplaceable void in my heart. The woman I am today is a testament to her influence and love. My heart brims with gratitude for Jackie, who embraced me as her own.
The joy and love captured in our photographs reflect how I'll always remember her, my beloved mother-in-law. Her essence, her inner love, remains eternally intertwined with my soul.

To Jackie's family: My deepest condolences to you all on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and sister. I had the pleasure of working with Jackie in the 70s at what was then known as the Forest Hill Rehab Centre. She was a beautiful lady and was soooo proud of her family. I ran into her years later at Sears and she was getting ready to go out west to visit her boys and grandchildren. Hugs to you all.

To Jackie's family, and especially Mary (and Sandy). I am an old friend of Mary's (and I do really mean "old". ) We roomed together here in Moncton when Mary and I worked at the Telephone Company and Blue Cross respectively, went to a million square dances, talked forever about our families, and were the best of friends, I am so sorry for you all at this sad time. (Also know Edna Daley Landry through St. Bernard's C.W.L.) Sincere condolences. God Bless!
