Obituary of Xenia Morales
After a courageous battle, Xenia Morales passed peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on December 16th 2020. Born on August 4th 1976, Xenia was the wife of Mario Morales.
In addition to her loving husband of 27 years, Xenia will be remembered by her daughter Grassiela; son David; parents Jorge & Cristina; brothers Rizziry and Elmer; sister Paxcely. She also leaves behind her two pets, Shasta & Luna, whom she adored.
Those who knew Xenia would say that she was a woman full of positivity and optimism. Born in El Salvador, she would help around the house after school. There were no parks where she lived so she did not have many places to have fun, most of the time she would watch tv and cook with her mom. However, when the civil war broke out, she knew she could not stay. At the age of 14, knowing no english, she moved to Fredericton NB. Though scared, once she got to Canada she thrived. She was an assest to NB Power for the 24 years she worked with them, and dedicated her time to raising her beloved children.
She was one of the strongest women on earth. Her determination unwavering, her love unmatched, her kindness absolute (she would not kill a fly). She was a true, loyal friend, a mentor, and a true people person. Xenia enjoyed gardening and walking.
She loved her morning coffee by the fire and truly enjoyed spending quiet time reading.
She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and sister-in-law who will be missed by all.
In keeping with Xenia’s wishes, there will be no formal visitation or service. A private family celebration of her life will take place at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
