Obituary of Kimberly Dalton Pond

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Kimberly Dalton Pond, announces his passing on March 1, 2024 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.  Born on August 12, 1954 in Fredericton, he was a son of the late Dalton “Pudge” and Mary Pond.

Kim spent many years working for JD Irving holding multiple job titles, some of which included starting out as a tree planter, building roads, fighting forest fires, and creating aerial Maps for future builds. After 25 years with Irving, he moved on to be a finishing carpenter with Cases, Renovations, and showcased his talents by winning carpentry awards with the company.

In Kim’s earlier years, he could often be found spending his time hunting, fishing and enjoying an alpine with his brothers.

Kim was a devoted family man who took a lot of pride in his family heritage. He loved to have fun, joke around, and make people laugh but he took the most pride in raising his daughter.

Kim is survived by his children, Duska (Shane) Duguay and Jason (Tracey) Pond; grandchildren, Kayla, Kaleb, Alyssa, Carsyn and Macey; brothers, Dwight (Deb), Jerry (Michelle), David, (Marla) and Terry (Kerrie); several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will take place in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 2:00 pm.  Donations in Kim’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, would be appreciated by the family.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcadamsfh.com.
