Obituary of Sally Ann Elizabeth Grace

With sadness, we announce the passing of Sally Ann Elizabeth Grace (née Drummond) on March 13, 2024, at her home in Fredericton. Sally was born December 22, 1968 in Seisdon, England.

Sally is survived by her devoted parents, Patricia Drummond and Hugh Drummond (Gillian), her brother Robin Drummond (Susan), nieces and nephews: Amanda (Oliver), Jordan (Laura), Peter, Alex, Amy, and Emily; and great-nephews and nieces Cole, Miles, Dahlia, Leo, and Trinity. She also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins in England.

She is predeceased by her beloved grandparents and her cherished pet companion, Pekoe.

Having relocated to Canada at a young age, Sally embraced her new home and eventually became a proud Canadian citizen alongside her family. She held dear her dual citizenship, often finding joy in exploring her British heritage, particularly through visits to England to reconnect with family, including cherished cousins.

A graduate of the University of New Brunswick with a degree in Kinesiology, Sally displayed a keen intellect. Music was a source of joy for Sally, who played piano in her youth and participated in various choirs. Sally was also a member of her church community, finding solace and strength in her faith.

Sally enjoyed the simplicity of everyday moments, whether it was the calming act of colouring, or spending time in the company of her cherished cat, close friends, or family.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare professionals and support workers who provided compassionate care to Sally over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Fredericton SPCA are appreciated.

A private interment will be held at a later date to honour Sally's memory. Her presence will be missed, but her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know and love her.
