I heard of Debbie’s passing just yesterday at her former dental office on Main Street. I was shocked and saddened. We were her patients for many years and we both absolutely loved her. She was a true professional in every way and was always spot on with her treatment plans for us. She always enjoyed a laugh or a good story. It was hard to lose her as a dentist when she had to take an early retirement, but her passing brings on a whole different range of emotions. Our hearts go out to her husband Bev as well as her beautiful daughters. I hope you know that she touched many hearts and will always be remembered. She was a special lady.

Dear Bev and family. On behalf of Susan and I, please accept our sincere and heartfelt sympathies. During our four years of dental school and beyond, Debbie, although small in stature, had a huge personality. She was smart both academically and clinically. Debbie was one of four female classmates who exhibited a tough but extremely likeable coat of armour as she navigated confidently through a mostly male dominated profession at the time. Always had that energy and smile. A very successful dentist and accomplished leader in organized dentistry. A wonderful wife and mother. What a great lady and what a great leader. I have many memories of Deb but one I will never forget was when Claude Paul Boivin and I took Deb to brunch at the Fort Garry in Winnipeg on a very windy January day. As we left the hotel and were heading to a cab the famous Winnipeg wind came up and launched Deb into the air and I grabbed her arm and CP grabbed the other arm and we stopped her from being the flying nun in Winnipeg that day. She was fiercely proud of her family and always found time to update me on all the great things they were all doing. We have lost a legend
