Obituary of Eric Lloyd MacNaughton

It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Lloyd MacNaughton announces his peaceful passing on April 3^rd, 2024 at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick. Eric was born in Pictou, Nova Scotia on May 16^th, 1946, son of the late Verna and Peter MacNaughton of Fredericton, NB.

Eric is survived by his wife of 55 years, Stephanie (nee Joyce); one son, Christopher (Pam) of Kenora, ON; one daughter, Kimberley of Fredericton, NB; granddaughters, Ava and Marla of Kenora, ON and grandsons, Blake and Lucas Bell of Fredericton, NB.

Eric started his career working first for the Bank of Nova Scotia for 18 years, and then went on to work for the Department of Transportation and retired from there in 2008. After his retirement, he and Stephanie wintered for 12 years in Florida which allowed them to enjoy golf and sunshine. Many years were also spent at the cottage in Buckley’s Cove where Eric could be found in his workshop doing what he loved most, which was woodworking. When not in his workshop, he could be found driving around on his John Deere.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McAdam’s Funeral Home. As per Eric’s wishes, there will be no funeral or visitation. There will be a private family gathering held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any donations in Eric’s name be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
