Very much belated but heartfelt condolences to all of the beautiful family members of this beloved lady. I only met her in her later years, as the mother of a very dear and cherished friend Barbara Cull Wilby, and I treasure those precious times in her presence - a dear darling of a woman , angelic in her nature . Blessings on all of her wonderful family,

Dear Heather, Barb and Joanne, Your mother Jean played a big part in my childhood, living right next door and always so welcoming to the children of the neighbourhood. I remember some wonderful trips with you all on your boat on the Saint John River and on Grand Lake. Both she and your late father Merle helped make our part of Kings College Road a real community. My heart goes out to you in your loss. Lots of love to all of your family.

Dear Heather, Barb, and Joanne,
Your Mum was a beautiful, kind woman--the best of neighbours for over 6 decades and, to me, a wonderful friend when I returned to the dear old street where we all grew up. Her lively personality, intelligence, and interest in others made her a 'presence' in the neighbourhood as well as the wider community, one who will always be missed. Please accept my sincerest condolences on your loss.

I was blessed to be a part of Jean’s life for a season. Her love of garden, cooking, family and the church permeated all she did. May our Lord bring comfort and amazing memories to her daughters and extended family.

Though I only got to know Jean on a limited basis working in the dining room at WC, she was a delight. She was a determined lady but more than anything, she was sweet with a smile that would light up the whole room. She will be missed. Many condolences to you all at this time.

Barbara Baird posted a condolence

Hello to the Cull family. This is Barbara Baird . I remember the “old” days when your Mom and Dad got together at the Lake and in Fredericton. Recall the morning you woke up on Christmas Day to find the plans for your sail boat pasted on your front window. We had soo much fun over the years and we will never forget your mother’s cooking. She was a “one of a kind,” with a smile for everyone and she made everyone feel as though they were “special.” . Heather, Barb and Joanne, your mother was a sweet, kind, devout person and she will leave a huge hole, but, my mother loved her, and they had a special relationship. Please accept our sincere sympathy for this loss.

Barbara, I know that our mother loved yours too. And your dad decorated our front window at Christmas several times. We would get up and open the curtains and there would be another drawing filling our window full of Doug's drawings taped to the glass. The Wavette window drawing had all of us on board waving. It also came with a tube full of schematics for the re-design of the boat including a cabin and covered back deck. Thank you for your kind words and memories. Heather
