Obituary of Marlene Scott

The family of Marlene Scott are sad to announce her passing on May 18, 2024 at the Dr Everett Chalmer’s Hospital, Fredericton, New Brunswick. Born on August 25, 1961, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she was the daughter of the late William and Irene Scott.

Marlene will be missed by her loving partner of over 21 years, Doug Duplassie; children, Summer, Aaron, and Dillon; grandchildren, Natalie and Piper; sisters, Pauline Kop and Hilda Arsenault; her best friend, Roseann Muxworthy, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Marlene’s life was her kids, and she was never happier then when she was spending time with them. A close second might be playing BINGO, or playing with her kitties, Caesar and Katie. Her independent nature made her a strong and willful woman, but it did not prevent her from being compassionate, kind, and in possession of one of the biggest hearts around.

As per Marlene’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations to the SPCA in Marlene’s name would be appreciated by the family.
