Karen,
My sincere condolences on Mike's passing. I first met Mike at Simm's in Saint John. I was a student and he had graduated and was designing machinery. I remember his muscle car well. He took me for a drive and before he left the yard somehow he used the accelerator and the brakes to rock the car so much that he did a wheelie. Then he took me out for a spin and it was memorable. A year later I graduated in mechanical engineering and Mike and I found ourselves working at NB Power where we worked together off and on for the next 30 or so years. Mike was always friendly and upbeat with a smile. He was also very smart and was an excellent engineer. He was assigned a very wide variety of engineering projects over the years and always succedded in completing them well. I was very sorry to hear of Mike's illness and difficult last few years for both of you.
I am sorry I was unable to attend the memorial event but Gail had fallen and we were at the emergency department in Oromocto very early on that day. She is recovering well now though. I will miss Mike.

To MIke's family: We are sorry to learn of Mike's passing. Mike was our classmate at UNB in Mechanical Engineering from 1965 to 1970. He never took any notes, just listened to the lectures and he passed the courses! We fondly called him "The Court Clerk". We were all envious of Mike's graduation present to himself: a British racing green 1970 Chevelle, which he enjoyed driving, "laying rubber" on University Avenue, and offering rides to friends. We have enjoyed catching up with him at class reunions.
With sympathy for your loss, Pat LaPointe, P.Eng, and Jon Perry, P.Eng.

Karen, so sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. Betty & I always enjoyed it when he would stop in and chat with us on our veranda while walking your doggies. He was always willing to help when needed. A great neighbour. Miss him a lot.

Karen, so sorry to see Mike's obituary. I haven't seen him since we moved 10 yrs. ago and didn't know he hadn't been well. We used to meet quite often on the trail & always shared some good memories from our younger days. Condolences on your loss of a special guy.
