Obituary of Linda Jane Stewart

It is with great sadness that the family of Linda Jane Stewart announce her passing on Sunday June 2^nd  2024 at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of the late John Melvin Corney and Nora Edith (Goodwin) Corney and her partner the late of Colin Chase

Linda will be lovingly remembered by her son’s Daniel Stewart (Helen) and Kevin Stewart (Diane). Her brother Gary Corney, 7 grandchildren: Stephanie Swain, Kira Stewart, Harley Joncas-Stewart, Micheal Stewart, Jacob Stewart, Damien Ellis, and Abi Ellis. Along with 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her partner of 46 years and her parents, Linda is predeceased by her sister, Sharon Corney and a daughter Shelly lynn Stewart.

Linda was a home maker and housewife raising her 2 boys. Linda loved to knit and won a few awards for her knitting. She easily made friends wherever she went.

A special thanks to the staff of 3E at the Dr Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital for looking after Linda these last few weeks, making her as comfortable as possible. We would also like to thank Trevor and staff at Eden’s villa for all the care they provided Linda during her stay there.

As per Linda’s request there will be no visitations or formal funeral service. The family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.

Donations can be made in Linda’s memory to the IWK or the heart & stroke foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
