Obituary of Barbara Helen Snell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Helen (MacLean) Snell of Fredericton, N.B. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024.  

Born on May 2, 1943 in Loggieville, N.B., she is predeceased by her parents Adam and Ella MacLean, sister Marjorie Galloway and brothers-in-law Graham Galloway and Douglas Parker.

She is survived by her brother Gordon MacLean (Ina) and sister Adella Parker, nieces Cathy Fogan, Debbie MacLean Casey, nephews Daryl, Todd and Scott MacLean, as well as nieces Kim and Karen Parker, nine great nieces and nephews and three great-grand nieces and nephew.

Barbara’s love for children led her to work at the New Brunswick Protestant Orphanage when she moved to Saint John after completing high school.  She enjoyed outings with niece Cathy as well as meeting friends for breakfast and coffee.

We would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Staff of the Oromocto Hospital and Hospice Fredericton for their great care of Barbara.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date.  For those who wish, donations may be made to the Cancer Society and Hospice Fredericton in Barbara’s memory.
