Obituary of Verna Margaret Boulter

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Verna Margaret Boulter announce her passing on June 20, 2024 at the Oromocto Public Hospital.  Born on October 23, 1936 in Maugerville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick “Fred” and Effie (Upton) Scribner.

She is survived by her sons, Lloyd Boulter Jr., Kevin Boulter (Tammy) and Gary Boulter (Faye); daughters, Donna Nash and Wendy Boulter; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; brothers, Vernon Scribner and Ronald Scribner (Dawn); sisters, Jean Phillips, Linda Gale (Mark Murphy) sisters-in-law, Josephine Scribner, Mary Scribner and Barb Smith; brothers-in-law, Ken Boulter (Florence), Harold Boulter (Joan), Lloyd Murray  and several nieces, nephews and extended family.

Beside her parents she was predeceased her husband, Lloyd; son, Robert; sons-in-law, Cameron and Allan; daughter-in-law, Linda; brothers, Alvin, Calvin, Howard and Manford; sisters, Helen Higgins, Inez Gamson, Edna Jordan, Joan Gilbert, Muriel LeBlanc, Vera Stewart and Faye Murray.

The family of Verna would like to say thank-you to the doctors and nurses of Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, 4 South East and Oromocto Public Hospital, Medical 1; Extra-Mural and Kindred Home Care Workers for all their compassion and care of mom.  

In keeping with Verna’s wishes there will no visitation or funeral service.  A graveside service will take place in St. John's Anglican Cemetery, Gagetown on Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick, SPCA Oromocto or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
