Dear Don and Saraya - I was so saddened to hear the news of Charlotte’s passing. She was such a beautiful person, inside and out. Always so warm and welcoming - I always remember her being the best hostess for Saraya’s birthday parties and sleepovers. May she rest in peace, and may your memories of her give you comfort during this time. Thinking of you.

Char was two years older than me and will always be my big sis.
Normal may not be coming back but Jesus is!
Some people say they found Jesus but Jesus wasn’t lost. They were lost and Jesus found them!
John 15:16 (Jesus speaking)
16. You did not choose Me, but I chose (Greek—eklegomai—selected, elected) you
To save us, God must drag us to Himself with a compelling force.
John 6:44 (Jesus speaking)
44. "No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws (Greek—helkuo—compels, drags) him;
Wait a minute! Did God choose me or did I choose Him?
From God’s point of view, He not only chose us before He created the heavens and the earth but He even had to give us the faith to believe. From our point of view, we came to Jesus Christ by an act of our free will.
John 6:37 (Jesus speaking)
37. "All that the Father gives me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.
"Amazing love! How can it be,
That Thou my God shouldst die for me?"

Condolences to Charlotte's family and friends. I certainly remember her. I was six when she graduated. However even though I was young I thought she was the most beautiful and talented drum majorette. Wow, could she work that baton. I remember her as vivacious and as a lovely beauty queen. She was one year younger than my older sister, Terry Tucker. I loved Her momma and thought she was beautiful too...always looking "ready."
It sounds like she led an amazing life!!!
I'm so sorry for your loss.

Charlotte (always just 'Char' to me) and I met in London. We worked for the same firm of solicitors as legal secretaries and quickly became firm friends That was nearly fifty years ago and we remained best friends, despite neither of us being especially good at keeping up with regular contact.
Char was a dear and loyal friend of mine; always on my side, but not shy about giving her views if she disagreed with my judgements. We laughed a lot together and had fun whenever possible, but we also shared times of grief and sadness, our disappointments in life and so on. I relied upon her sound counsel and the comfort she always offered. Both she and Don were so generous and kind to me when I was young woman, in particular by inviting me to their homes when they were travelling. I stayed for six weeks with them in Israel for example! Char took me under her wing as an older sister would, nurturing and mentoring all the way.
In our later years, the friendship between us became more 'equal' I think. As I matured we enjoyed a woman to woman bond that we both knew would last a lifetime. And it did. Everyone who knew Char will miss her. I'm no exception, of course. I loved her very much.
Love and very best wishes to Don, Saraya and all the family.

Charlotte, you will be deeply missed and will be forever in the hearts of all of those around you. Here a couple of photos with you and Ayla in London when she was only a few days old. Love, Ayla and Rich
