Thinking of the whole family and this difficult time with the passing of Great Uncle Harold (or Uncle Dudley as we called him growing up- which still to this day, have no idea where Dudley came from). I have such wonderful memories of visiting him at Heather Beach and listening to his stories. Grandma (Mercelle) and Mom (Valerie) always spoke about him with so much love and admiration. I hope they are all catching up in Heaven together now. He was so loved and will be missed. My deepest condolences to you all. Love, Robin, Jacob, Hannah, and Amelia.

Condolences on passing of Harold. Last saw ihim in Windsor Court, not sure if he knew who I was.
I have lasting memories of sailing and events at Douglas Harbour, he was always such a happy person.
He was an inspiration to us at the Seniors Workshop where he would always be involved and lend a hand.
We have lost a gem.
Regrets I was not able to attend funeral.

I first met Harold at the hunting camp at Fountain lake along with Kenny and many of Harold's friends. He was and will be as they say a great character.. We all shared many stories and a few glasses of rum around the very serious card games. Harold will be deeply missed. My sincere sympathies to the family. My life was richer from having known Harold..
My Condolences

Leanne and I would like to pass along our condolences to Ann, Pam, Mike and all the family of Harold Raper on his passing. We were very fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience his humour, his hospitality and his friendship during our visits to Heather Beach and on occasion when he dropped in to our house on Christmas Eve for a quick drink. He will be missed by all. Rest in peace, Harold. Love Leanne & Peter Gallant.

Hi Ann,
Just want to tell you how very, very sorry to hear of Harold leaving you, and all his friends! Although I am retired now, I sure recall my role as Director of Administrative Servics with the City of Fredericton, negotiating the lease of the Fredericton Boat Club property with Harold. He was always a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. I even got to know you as the "pickle lady" of which Harold was so proud.
May you be blessed, and find strength to carry on, as you reminisce all the great times you shared with Harold!!!

As a staff member at Harold's last stop in his journey I had more contact with his family and friends than with Harold himself. What was so obvious was the amount of love and loyalty everyone had for him. He must have truly been a great man. I'm so sorry for your loss...

Harold was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and will be greatly missed by his workshop mates. He was always ready to help those of us working on projects and always ready to give his opinion on how to tackle said projects. His advice when cleaning the shop, was: "you got to leave a little seed (saw dust) for the next guy."

We met Harold 6 short years ago on Heather Beach. A neighbor that showed kindness, humour and a warm smile to our family. We learned we had much to converse about from His love of travel, which included my home in Newfoundland, family importance and the outdoors. I will always cherish the lupins he seeded in front of our cottage. We will miss you Harold, heaven is waiting. Love to the Raper family.

Dear Ann and Family. Harold was such a great man. Always willing to lend a hand combined with his warm smile. For sure, he has a front row seat in heaven cheering on the Blue Jays, and if Saint Peter holds his nose and lets me in too, I’ll have my partner to play Sequence. Let’s all cherish his fond memories. He will be greatly missed. Forever in our hearts.
Breaking News: “Harold, Get out of that front row seat, you’re leading off for the Blue Jays and playing center field.” Knock it out the park Harold.
Love, Greg Potts and Susan Vaughan
