Obituary of Frank I. Johnson

It is with sadness that the family of Frank Ivan Johnson announces his passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton on Monday, July 29, 2024 at the age of 83. Born in Halifax, NS, on December 10, 1940, he was the husband of Patricia O’Neil of New Market, NB.

In addition to his loving spouse, Pat, Frank is survived by his daughters,  Norma and Tina O’Neil and Debbie Johnson; grandchildren, Kristal O’Neil, Katrina O’Neil and James Thompson; great grandchildren, Logan, Lily and Pearl; sister, Linda Boutilier; brothers and sisters-in-law, Albert Doubleday, John and Kim LaForest, Patrick and Kathy LaForest,  Paul and Sylvie LaForest, Sandra Hitchcock, Charlene and Perley Hanscomb, Carolyn Roach, Elizabeth LaForest, Mavis LaForest, Gaetanne LaForest, and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. Frank was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Flora, sisters Sheila Doubleday and Edna Juillian, and by his brother, Terry. He was also predeceased by his son-in-law, Jim Thompson, brothers-in-law, Raymond LaForest (late Gemma) and Peter LaForest, nephews, Christopher LaForest and Taylor Samson.

Frank’s family would like to thank the doctors and staff of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Emergency Department and 3SW for their compassion and assistance in keeping Frank and Pat together until the end. They are all angels from heaven.

At Frank’s request there will be no visitation or services. For those who wish donations in Frank’s memory may be made to The Chalmers Foundation.
