Obituary of Phyllis Edna Zadorozny
Phyllis Edna Zadorozny, of Fredericton, NB passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 4th at the age of 85 with her loving family by her side.
“Bootsie”, as she was affectionately known, was born to the late Edward and Ada Biddles on October 27th, 1938, in Montreal, QC. She was the loving wife of the late Gerald Zadorozny and was predeceased by her daughter Darlene and her son Michael as well as her eight siblings. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Brenda Abbandonato (Tony), grandchildren Christopher, Holly (Diego), Alex, as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and her best friend Marge Orrill.
Bootsie was known for her bright smile, great sense of humour, beautiful singing voice, and her homecooked meals. During her pastime, she loved playing cards with her grandchildren, taking trips with her family, and watching her favourite hockey team, the Montreal Canadiens.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital for all their care and compassion.
A celebration of Bootsie’s life will be held in Montreal at the Mont-Royal funeral complex (1297 chemin de la forêt, Outremont, H2V 2P9) on October 25th, 2024, at 10:30 am. The burial will be at 12:30 the same day, followed by a reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Chalmers Foundation towards the Stan Cassidy Centre for Rehabilitation, Paediatric Swim Program or to the charity of your choice.
Bootsie was loved greatly and will be forever missed.
