Obituary of Carletta Glendora Matheson

The family of Carletta Glendora Matheson of Lakeville Corner, NB, sadly announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on August 12, 2024. She was 83. Born January 18, 1941 in Fredericton, she was the daughter of the late Thomas V. and Verna R. (Dunham) Green. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Vernon H. Matheson.

Carletta was employed with the Hartt Boot and Shoe Company for many years.

Her three sons will miss her dearly, Derrick A. Matheson of Belleville, ON, Thomas R. Matheson of Lakeville Corner, NB and David C. Matheson (Karen) of Oromocto, NB. She is also survived by one sister, Donna Green of Marysville, NB; five grandchildren, Crystal, Samantha, Amanda, Kyle and Elizabeth; as well as a number of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

As to Carletta's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place in the Byno Cemetery, Lakeville Corner, NB.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society of Canada.
