Dear John and family, sending our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Leah. We had the opportunity to get to know you both on your many trips to your Ottawa family. Leah centered her life in her love of family and strong faith, living with a sense of adventure, fun and grace. All our love, Michael and Laura

Mary Ellen, thank goodness our moms knew how to sew the many costumes needed for our dance classes (tap, baton, jazz) during Grade school. It was always exciting seeing what they made, trying things on and performing. In my opinion Leah and mum clinched the title of cool moms during a children’s television show taping of the Miss Anne Show in Second Grade. Our moms allowed us to tout full makeup…including RED LIPSTICK… I have many fond memories of Leah and her unique brand of humour.
John, not many people celebrate 65 years together, you were both very blessed.
Condolences to the entire Devlin and extended families.

Please accept my sincere condolences,
I hope this memory will serve as one of many to help in remembrance of Leah.
John and Leah to the rescue...
We had a do-it-yourself wedding supported by family and many friends. It went as smoothly as one could imagine with a few, (many), hiccups along the way. In rolls Leah in their wonderful travel home and lo and behold the family they are visiting is right across the laneway from our wedding venue, in fact almost on the same property!. It was the end of a rather stressful hectic day and they invited us in for a surprise cake and a wee beverage which all helped to calm us down, and bring us back down to Earth in preparation for our big day. We had a few laughs and it was a great evening. In addition to this John stepped up to serve as our official wedding photographer which we somehow forgot to book... and Leah and John generously supported the dinner on the pier that night. I always remember having a good laugh with Leah even during our last visit and this is how I will remember her.
With Love to John and family, Graeme Duke-Gibbs

I am so sorry to hear of Leah's passing. Growing up with Paul and Bruce had me visiting quite often. Both on Heather Terrace (street below mine off Smythe) and ironically, on Cromwell Road (Duke St. back in those days) at he lake!
A very nice woman and a truly wonderful family. My deepest sympathies go out to the entire family.
