John was a graduate of Fredericton High School, Saint Thomas University, member of the ‘Y’ Aquanauts Swim Team, and St. Margaret’s Anglican Parish.
He had a keen and curious mind, enjoyed science fiction, astronomy, anthropology and music. He leaves a legacy of kindness, valued friendships, and hard work (Fredericton Co-op, Club Cosmopolitan, Rockin’ Rodeo, Nicky Z’s, Agriculture Canada, group home worker and homeless shelter worker ). He enjoyed 45 years of summers at the family cottage on Maquapit Lake. His sister Anne shares many fond memories of boat rides, board games, corn boils, bbq’s waterskiing, bonfires and casting him in their homemade ‘theatre’ productions.
The family extends their thanks and appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the DECH for their kindness and compassion during his short stay on 4NW.
