Bob served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 22 years. He joined in 1954 and served overseas with NATO from 1955-1957. Upon his return to Canada, he served at CFB Petawawa, ON, from 1958-1962 with 4RCHA and then from 1962-1966 at CFB Gagetown, NB. H returned to Germany in 1966 and served there with 1RCHA until 1972. He returned to CFB Gagetown in 1972 and served with the 403 Helicopter Squadron until he retired from military service in November of 1975. Bob also served in Vietnam (Saigon) from 1960-1961. Following his military service, Bob was employed with NB School District No. 17 as a Stationary Engineer from 1975 until his retirement in 1998. Bob was also a member of the Oromocto Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion.

Although there will be no visitation hours as per Bob’s request, relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Service of Celebration for the life of Robert “Bob” George Wilson, to be held at the Chipman United Pentecostal Church on Thursday, October 17, 2024, beginning at 2pm.
