Obituary of Nelson Angus McNeill
The passing of Nelson Angus McNeill, husband of Dianne (Crossman) McNeill, occurred on Saturday October 5th 2024, at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 9th 1950, in Minto NB, he was the son of Harry and Cecelia McNeill.
Nelson spent 50 years as a mechanic in Fredericton and owned Nelson McNeill Alignment. He was an avid guitar player, you rarely walked into his home that he didn’t have a guitar in his hands. He loved family and friend gatherings which were always surrounded with music. Nothing gave him more joy than his time spent with grandchildren.
Nelson is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dianne, son Nelson (Janice) and grandchildren Jenna and Evan. Brothers; Arlie (Judy) of Florida, Danny of Minto, David (Joanne) of Chipman, sisters; June of Georgia, Lorraine and Jocelyn of Minto. He was predeceased by brothers; Earl, Clarence, Eugene, Vernon and sisters; Leola, Rita, Shirley, Emma and Diane.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. O’Brien, Dr. Doyle, Dr. Cameron and the staff of the Palliative Care Department of the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Visitation will take place at McAdams Funeral Home on Friday, October 11th from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
