Dear Charles and Family,
When I came in to the rectory after Mass today, Fr. Joe Cochrane informed me of the death of Marilyn. I was shocked: Marilyn Rowan - I thought she would go on forever. As a young priest at St. Dunstan’s, I found her to be so welcoming and supportive. You and she are a part of most of my memories of those early days. Look after yourself, Charles. I will offer Evening Prayer for Marilyn today.

Charles, James and David,
My heartfelt sympathies to each of you. Marilyn was one of my first mentors as I entered the profession of physiotherapy in 1976. Her commitment and leadership in the PT associations and her dedication to the profession throughout her years at the DECH has left strong memories. Marilyn had a serious side that was often broken by the antics of her colleagues and she would shake her head and give a big, warm smile. She will be missed and fondly remembered by the many lives she touched.

She certainly shared her deep spiritual and faith-filled gifts with everyone. We again connected when we were members of CNWE( Catholic Network for Women’s Equality). So sorry to hear of Marilyn’s passing. I worked with her for many years in Physiotherapy. When I went to that Department I was honest with her to say I didn’t know the computer programs they were using there and told her I’d do my best for her and I appreciated her giving me the chance. We worked together for around 18 years when she retired. She was a lovely person. My condolences to her family. Praying for you all.

Charles and family,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of Marilyn. I had the absolute privilege to work for Marilyn when she was assistant manager and then manager of the physiotherapy department in the 1990's. Her commitment to the physiotherapy profession as well as to the DECH was undeniable. She led a wonderful family of physiotherapists, assistants and administrative staff all while she completed her MBA! I was so happy to return to Fredericton to celebrate her retirement on February 16, 2012...I still have the invitation. Thank-you so much for sharing Marilyn with us. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Charles and family; So sad to learn of Marilyn's passing - albeit into eternal peace. Such an example to the rest of us of the dedicated worker in the Field Hospital where she so unselfishly embraced the poor and suffering with empathy and love. Please recall the words of St. John Chrysostom of the 4th century: "Those who we love and lose are no longer where they were before. They are now wherever we are.." We pray that you will find peace at this difficult time.
Sincerely, Susan and Bruce (Judah)
