Dear Kathy ... our sincere sympathy to you and Bruce on the loss of your father. John was a wonderful person .. a true gentleman! Charlie certainly enjoyed working with John at NBPower all those years and we both enjoyed the many visits they made to Sussex over the years to visit with us and our family. John was always interested in what our boys were doing. We think about those good times often. Take care and know that we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dear Kathy and Bruce - I am so sorry to hear about John's passing. I liked him a lot. He was a very sweet man. I remember him sitting quietly in the background, a slight smile on his face, indulging the rest of us as we grabbed all the attention. He was very kind to my mother and used drop by to say hello or bring a little treat from your mother. I knew that if she needed help, he would do whatever he could. He was that kind of friend. I am glad, Kathy, that you were able to be at his side at the end. You both deserved that. May your memories of your Dad and the knowledge of the joy you brought him bring you not only solace but also inspiration. Love never dies. It lives forever in your heart. Rest in peace, sweet John. The world is not the same without you.

So sorry to hear of John passing. He was already working at NB Power when I joined the engineering group in 1975. I'll always remember his laugh and I never saw him in a bad mood. He enjoyed life. He loved BMW cars and always advised us youngsters to go out and buy one. He taught me the only german phrases I still remember. We didn't call Him John though. To us he was Papa Pader!!
