Obituary of Terry Dale Weatherbee

It is with heavy hearts that our family announce the passing of our brother, Terry Dale Weatherbee on December 22nd, 2024 at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Fredericton, New Brunswick after a brave battle with Multiple Sclerosis. Terry passed away very peacefully with his sister, Lorraine, at his side. Terry was born in Fredericton, N.B. on May 23rd, 1962, and grew up in Oromocto, N.B.

Terry is best described as a world traveller, as well as an extraordinary story teller.  Terry was kind, considerate, thoughtful, caring, as well as quick witted with an exceptional memory. Terry would definitely want us to mention his side kick, Deuce, his four-legged companion for the last 24 years.

Terry had several jobs throughout his life, including working as a correctional officer with Correctional Services Canada.

Terry loved, and is survived by his daughters, Terryn Clowater (of Alberta) and Sammy Clowater (of New Brunswick); his siblings, Susan Weatherbee (Leo) (of Alberta), iRene Weatherbee (of Ontario), Maureen Brewer (Greg) (of New Brunswick), Rick Weatherbee (of Nova Scotia), Lorraine Weatherbee (of New Brunswick), as well as several nieces and nephews, and Deuce, his cat.

Terry is pre deceased by his father and mother, Lionel and Darlene Weatherbee, as well as his best friend, Werner Baum.

We are forever grateful that Terry was provided the best of care while he was a resident of Pine Grove, a place Terry called home.  Every member of the incredible staff provides comfort and care at a level that gives immense peace to residents as well as their families.

We would like to thank Terry’s nephew, Shane Weatherbee, for his unwavering support.  We are grateful to everyone who visited Terry, or helped in any way during his battle with MS.

To Lucienne (Lucy) & Walter Keenan, you were Terry’s rock every step of the way.  You did not hesitate to put your life on hold to help.  Your support during Terry’s final days was extraordinary and I know how much he loved you both.

Until we meet again, rest easy our beautiful brother; we love you and will miss you.

Arrangements have been entrusted to McAdams Funeral Home, Fredericton, N.B.  A celebration of Terry’s life will be scheduled at a later date.
