Flavia and the children, I am thinking of you and trying to visualize the home without Eben. I am praying that God Will flood you with His Peace that passes all understanding as He comforts and strengthens you. I remember Eben was at the Airport with Flavia, Chris and Sheila when I first came to Canada and that he had helped in the process of my joining UNB. For the 14 years, I lived in Canada with my family, we always saw you all and were always welcome in your home. I was always blessed to see how he loved my sister Flavia and welcomed all of us from her family. I was blessed to have spent some days with you Flavia and him in 2019 at your house. I always enjoyed chatting with him and though he was not a man of many words, he always had wisdom to share. May the Lord continue to strengthen you Flavia, Amaki, Amate and the entire family. I know he was a pillar at Fredericton Word of Faith. Eben and Flavia introduced me to Pastor Bitely who helped teach me about faith and I have been blessed as I continue to learn about Faith. Remain blessed and you are all greatly loved.

Deep felt condolences to the entire family. Eben was very instrumental in integrating me to the Canadian/Fredericton community when I landed in New Brunswick in early 1993. Welcomed by a winter storm on March 11th, he was one of the key pillar who comforted me and provided the warmth in middle of a winter storm. We became friends and family. He later played a major role in integrating me at University of New Brunswick. He became my Professor/ Friend/ Brother/ Advisor. Eben had a big heart. A dedicated Christian who practiced what he preached. Eben will be remembered as one of the few people who wished others well and would go a long way to help where he could. He stood up for what was right and fought against racism especially in the university environment. Eben was an amazing scholar - deeply knowledgeable and edited or authored many books in Finance and other related fields. Eben encouraged me to go for MBA while working full time. We later cemented our friendship while doing MBA. A big pillar in my life in Canada. He later took on the parenthood of my kids - Ethan and Eva when I left Canada to Uganda. We remained in touch until he felt sick and week. He left a big foot-prints in my heart and I will forever treasurer his role in my life. May God provide comfort to Flavia, Amaki, Amate and the entire Otuteye%uFFFDs family. May he rest in eternal peace. Chris Tumwine.

I remember taking a couple of courses with Dr. Otuteye and appreciated his dry sense of humour. It's been many years and I still quote him to my wife regularly: "You can bring all the notes you want into the exam. As long as you bring them in your mind (ie. not on paper)." Our family wishes you comfort in this time.

Dr. Otuteye were a major part of my MBA journey at UNB. Working with him as a teaching assistant, helped me learn how good a human being he was. I would say, apart from being an excellent professor, he was a great mentor, guide who always helped his students achieve their dreams. Dr. Otuteye introduced Value Investing at UNB, and I am sure his own creation of the investing template will always be used by his students. Thank you so much sir for everything, be it inviting for Thanks Giving Dinner, taking out for lunch, or helping with life decisions. All energy to Dr. Otuteye's family and and Sir will always be remembered in our hearts. Miss you alot.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Daddy Eben. I never would have felt ready to say goodbye to someone as special as Daddy Eben; but this timing feels especially tough. Daddy Eben is a very good friend of my Dad, and so he was like a Dad to me. My Dad really admired him a lot. He was generous and one in a million. What an unforgettable man of God too. I fellowshipped at the same Church (Word of Faith) that Daddy Eben was in. Thinking of you Aunt Flavia, Amaki, Amate and entire family. Wishing you moments of peace, comforts, and sending healing prayers and comforting hugs. I'm going to miss Daddy Eben. My heart goes out to each one of you!

To say Eben is a Good Man is an understatement. Yet, that's the most effective way in which I can describe him. His goodness is great, great because his goodness is from within and it is what is within is most truthful about us. So, as I use the simple word 'Good' to describe Eben, know that he is Great. Thank you for your kindness Dr Eben Otuteye. May Perpetual Light forever illuminates your Soul.
