Obituary of Robert Gordon James

It is with profound sadness that the family of Robert "Bob" James announce his passing at Thomas Hall in Fredericton on Monday, April 12, 2021, at the age of 79. Bob passed peacefully with his wife by his side. Born and raised in the Village of Gagetown, Bob was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Hazel (Brooks) James and his brothers, Wayne and William James. Bob is survived by his wife Hazel (Miller), his daughter Michelle (Dustin Brown) of Edmonton, AB and his brothers-in-law John Miller (Rhoda) and Royce Miller (Mona) and his sister-in-law Jean Jardine (Eldon). Bob spent his adult life in Fredericton, marrying his wife Hazel in 1971. They moved to Skyline Acres where they raised their daughter. Bob worked at Bird Stairs and Union Electric. In his retirement, Bob took up golfing at Mactaquac Golf Club where he both played and marshalled. He was an active member of Forest Hill United Church and volunteered many hours there. Bob always had time to share a joke. A memorial service will be held from the J.A. McAdam Memoral Chapel on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 11:00 am.
