I am extremely saddened to hear of my dear Mavis passing. We always had so much fun at all of the Caps Hockey Games, at the TOPS Conventions and just visiting her and Murray when I was able. I met Mavis at tops she was a great person to talk to and the stories she would tell everyone at tops loved her and talked a lot about her she will be sadly missed her especial her 592 Chapter at tops
I am a member of TOPS who has known Mavis since I joined the organization over 20 years ago. It was a joy to see her at the events. She always had a story to tell. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Take comfort knowing she lived a long full life.
So sorry to hear of you Moms passing. Just talked to her last Month. She was a beautiful and well respected lady. My sincere condolences Jeff. Your Mum was a lovely lady and even though we had a business relationship (taxes) I really enjoyed going to collect and deliver her papers as we would have a nice chat about everything. She was always knitting and I and my grandson have pairs of her mittens that will come out when the time comes this year again. A client who became a friend. Rest in peace Mavis. xx

I remember as a child knowing Murray and Mavis. They were friends of my parents Raymond & Alberta Lourie in Grand Bay. I believe Murray was a Pallbearer at dad's funeral in 1988. Have thought of them both over the years and wondered how they were doing. With deepest sympathy Linda Bourque
Mavis was a Rock Star at Tops .we all loved her so much. Daring to tell jokes that left you in stitches and yes she was a dare devil. On my Fall Rally she actually drove into our church basement on the back of a Harley.Low and behold , she knew the driver, he was a friend from her home town . They both loved the event and chatted a long time about people they both knew. She will be loved and missed so much. There will never be another like Mavis. Farewell my friend
