Ralph Jones Bartlett died September 23, 2021 at Fredericton Hospice. He passed peacefully after living many years with Early Onset Alzheimer’s Disease. He blessed us all with his kind thoughtfulness through his private struggles with this disease. Ralph is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (nee Kenny); mother, Florence Bartlett; sons, Sean (Alex McLeod), Eric (Katie Hamilton), and Ryan (Gab Levesque); he was known as Grandad to four very special grandchildren: Clark, Ross, Nora, and Jones; sister, Susan Larlee (Erik Haakonsholm) and brother, John Bartlett (Joan); sister-in-law, Cindy Webb; father and mother-in-law, Charlie and Pam Kenny; his nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his father, Kenneth Bartlett and brother-in-law, Tim Webb. Ralph was born on July 19, 1960 in Fredericton. He lived a life full of giving and caring for his family, friends, and community. He founded RJ Bartlett Engineering Ltd. in 1987. He grew a company that became known locally, nationally, and internationally for expertise in Fire Protection Engineering. He served on various boards and committees at the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick, as well as national and international professional committees. Ralph had a strong sense of community, serving as president of the United Way and the Fredericton YMCA, as well as other local community service organizations. Ralph humbly accepted numerous awards for his commitment to helping others. He led a very full life but there was always time for fun and loving family time that we all cherish. We are grateful to Enhanced Living, Gagetown and all the wonderful staff who went above and beyond in providing Ralph care with much kindness. Dr. Van Middlesworth, Dr. Clarkson, and Dr. Goodyear, thank you for your guidance and understanding care. Nancy Clifford-Arseneault, thank you for your unwavering support. To Hospice house, thank you for your kindness during his last days. Thank you to all the others who ran, golfed, biked, exercised, skied, fished, and went for drives. Ralph had an amazing circle of care and support around him for whom we are so very thankful. A private family memorial will be held in Ralph’s memory.
