John and Niki Christian posted a condolence
Phil's entire family, Niki and I wish to extend our condolences regarding Phil's death. He was one of a kind. I last spoke with him this past Christmas and we discussed his bowling average among other topics. I love the story in Phil's obituary about 'Hobo Jungle' and how Phil would invite the less advantaged people to his house for a meal. This is Phil in a nutshell. A kind, soft-spoken man who displayed his humanity through many actions, including volunteerism. Rest in peace, Phil. I will miss our Christmas phone chat for years to come.

Rest In Peace, Phil - and to all his family (like Colleen, Valerie and Cathleen) who loved him and gave him safe haven to live out the last decade of his life in comfort, our sincerest condolences. I knew Phil through my Mom, Bonnie (Christian (born Mersereau). Mom and Phil were like soul-mates between the time Mom and Dad moved back from Ontario in 1990 until Mom's death in 2012. I have fond memories of Phil in all aspects expressed in his obituary. I hope we all can take a part of the "Goodness" baton that Phil practiced and continue his work.

I was so sorry to read in the paper this morning of Uncle Phil's passing. He was such a nice man and you were always so good to him. We always enjoyed each other. Who will I share my chips with now at bowling? I will miss him. Take care and stay safe.

My sympathy goes out to Phils' nieces and nephews and all of his many friends. I came to know Phil because his beloved sister, Myrtle, married my great uncle, Greg McGinnis. Phil was a real gentleman with the most giving heart of anyone I knew. I have missed Phil since he moved from Fredericton. I used to see him all the time. I always looked forward to his Christmas card each year. Phil is in heaven with Myrtle and all of his loved ones. I love you and will miss you, Phil. God bless you.

To the family: Uncle Phil was my great uncle...my dad is Ronald Clement Robinson, Phil's sister Hazel's son . We were all saddened to hear of uncle's passing but he sure led a full and varied life!! We didn't get to see him often since we have lived out west for decades but on those occasions when we did get to visit east it was inevitable that there would be a game or two of cards! Mom and dad still enjoy reminiscing about the card games they all used to get up to! RIP Uncle Phil and say hi to gram and gramps for me...and the rest of the uncles and aunts.....there will be lots of cards played up there now won't there!!

It was a pleasure knowing him and I for one will miss him. God bless him and your Family. Will see you in the future. Arnold

Val and Colleen, We are so very sorry to lose "Uncle Phil" as we all knew him as. We knew he was not feeling well toward the end of our bowling but he never once complained. What a great person he was. We won't soon forget him and I know you will miss him terribly. So sorry! You have our deepest sympathy, prayers and condolences.
