Obituary of Michael Wayne Godin

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael "Mike" Wayne Godin on November 25th, 2021. Born on July 8th, 1960, he was the son of the late Lionel and Shirley (Doherty) Godin. Mike is survived by his daughters, Vanessa (Drue), Rebekah (Steven) and their mother Wendy; Jessica and her mother Jodi; brothers, John and Kevin (Kim); several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. In addition to his parents, Mike is predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Arthur and Helen (Carrier) Godin; maternal grandparents, John and Blanche (Hickey) Doherty, and sister in law Nancy Godin. Mike worked in the photofinishing industry for most of his career. He was a very talented singer and guitar player. He really enjoyed entertaining everyone he knew. His greatest music love was for country music, which took him to the big stage at Dick Stacey’s Country Jamboree. His "wild side" was listening to and watching videos of Motorhead aka "Lemmy" Kilmister and AC/DC. Above and beyond all, the biggest love of his life was his three daughters. As per his wishes, there will not be a visitation or a service. A private family interment will take place at Hermitage Catholic Cemetery at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the heart and stroke foundation or to a charity of donor’s choice.
