I am deeply saddened by Pat's death. I met Pat one summer she was staying with Aunt Thirza. We became best friends and this friendship went on for many years until recent years when we lost touch. She was fun and kind and caring - a BFF for sure. Nothing was too much for Pat to do for her friends. I have such great memories of you, dear Pat, which will remain in my heart forever. Our children were about the same ages and knew each other in high school. God bless all your family as they struggle with this sad time, but know that God will be caring for each and every one of you!

York Care Centre posted a condolence

We were very fortunate to have Pat serving on the York Care Centre Board of Directors between 2015 and 2019. Her clinical background served us well, as did her kind spirit. Before leaving the Board in 2019, Pat also served as the Chair of the Care Services Committee - she made a wonderful impression and her legacy will live on at YCC. Our sincerest condolences to family and friends.

I had the pleasure of meeting Pat at Precision Pilates and of teaching her for a session recently. She struck me as an incredibly strong woman, in the best sense. I was saddened to hear of Pat's passing. We were close friends from grade 4 until half way through Grade 11 when I went to another school. We did many things together and I have often recalled our good times. She was warm and caring even as a ten year old. I last spoke to her by telephone on her 75th birthday and we had a nice "visit". Sorry to hear of the passing of Pat but she was a Caption of her own ship and no doubt will be remembered as such. She was a wonderful nurse to work with and in the early 1980's she was one of several that mentored me in to my career of Mental Health and I will be Thankful to have followed in her wisdom. She was a joy to work with and I will never forget h beautiful smile and laugh. Going on without her will be difficult for her family and friends but she would not want to burden anyone and have things done her way. I know she will be carried on in many stories, RIP my fellow nursing friend, may your wings be as beautiful as you were.
