Obituary of William Harold Archibald

It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of William Harold Archibald on Tuesday, April 28, 2020 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on September 17, 1956, Bill was the son of the late William "Percy" and Constance (Chalmers) Archibald. Bill worked as a Signal Maintainer for Canadian National Railway for many years before retiring. He was a quiet, gentle and kind man who had a great love of golf, NASCAR and nature. Bill will be missed by his wife Dixie (Cavanaugh) Archibald; his children Billy Archibald, James Macaulay and Jen Fictorie (Brandon); grandchildren Kamryn, Harlee and Lachlan; father-in-law Doug Cavanaugh; niece Kim; nephew Jim; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his sister Joan Vandenburgh and mother-in-law Maureen Cavanaugh. A service will be held at the Marysville United Baptist Cemetery on Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 am. In consideration of the current health crisis, McAdam's Funeral Home staff will be on hand to advise those in attendance on social distancing. Contributions in Bill’s memory to Hospice House would be appreciated by the family.
