Obituary of Madeline Oliver
In celebration of a life well lived, the family of Madeline "Maddie" (Whitehouse) Oliver announces her passing on March 19, 2022, at the Pine Grove Nursing Home. Born in Glassville, NB, on February 23, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Clara (McBrine) Whitehouse, and beloved wife of the late Paul Bishop Oliver.
Maddie was well known for her faith in God and her love for family. She loved well and was well loved by her family and friends. She is now secure in her Heavenly Home!
She will be greatly missed by children Sally Kindervater (Blair), Mary Jane Phillips (Mike), Paula Wilson (Richard), Mike Oliver (Gail), Ruth Ann Beardmore (David), and Judy Rose (Terry); 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters Mary Flemming and Kay Thompson, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents and husband Paul, Maddie was predeceased by her sisters Claudia and Ruth; brothers Walter, Robert and Clarence, as well as 2 grandchildren.
The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the entire staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home for their compassion and care of Maddy and her family. This was a place she called home for the past 5 years.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2022 at McAdam’s Funeral Home from 1 pm – 2 pm. A funeral service will follow at 2 pm, in the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel with Rev. Greg Geldart officiating. For those unable to attend, a live stream will be available at the following link, https://vimeo.com/690612170. In the event of technical difficulties, a recording of the service will be available at the same link the following day.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Pine Grove Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
