Ann, Michael, Peter, Christine and families, Please accept my most sincere sympathies on Roland's passing. You were all so fortunate to have a man with his strength of character, sincerity, integrity and kindness in your lives. From my earliest days in Fredericton as an education student and Michael's grade 8 basketball coach (1988-89), I had the great fortune to meet your very special family. I distinctly recall sitting in your living room on Edinburgh interviewing Roland about his career for my science education course. Your family was the first to welcome this then young coach/ educator into the Fredericton community and I will be forever thankful for the kindness and support you showed me. I will celebrate Roland's life as one well lived and appreciated by many.

We are so sorry to learn of Roland's passing. We genuinely feel the grief of losing such a fine gentleman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Being young fathers, we shared the family connection in St Paul's United Church, Albert St School and Fredericton High. Roland's great smile, genial manner and positive outlook endeared him to all. No matter how occupied Roland could be, he always had ample time for good conversation. We were both Ford Explorer people and we talked at length about our "babies". Whether being with you, or friends and family far and wide, Roland savoured life to the fullest with youthful enthusiasm and zeal. Roland was, indeed, a wealthy person ~ he had the enduring love of his family, respect of his many friends and co-workers, and pride in himself. He will be missed by all who lives he touched. We are thinking of you now, and in the days to come. May the comfort and support of those who love you, along with wonderful memories, bring peace and solace

Dear Ann, Michael, Peter, Christine, and Families I was deeply saddened to learn of Roland's passing. As you know, I worked with Roland at NB Power and have known him for some 43 years. I also had the privilege of not only knowing him through our NB Power family, but also to know the Krause family over the years. I will forever remember his dedication and commitment to his job, his smile and laughter, which carried us through some rather challenging years at the utility. More importantly, I will always remember him for his love of you Ann and his children; nothing made him more proud than the successes each of you achieved. Often Roland would speak of his father, his uncle and the most humorous stories surrounding the two of them and also Roland's sisters. I held off writing this condolence as I came to terms with his death. I will forever remember our hundreds of chats over the years; his smile and laughter are etched in my hear. Please accept my deepest condolences. You couldn't have asked for a better husband and father to your children. May your hearts be flooded with beautiful memories of a man who lived life to the fullest. Margaret Tracy
