Obituary of Paul A. Davidson
With heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Paul Aulden Davidson of Fredericton, NB, husband of Susie Annie Davidson, on May 30, 2022 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born on February 13, 1944 in Lower Southampton, NB, he was a son of the late Albert and Viola (McGuire) Davidson of Lower Southampton, NB.
Paul was self-employed over his lifetime operating a Janitorial and Firewood business.
He made lots of friends in his latter years living seasonally at the Woolastook Campground and will be fondly remembered by many for his fun evening tractor wagon rides. He was a diehard Toronto Maple Leafs fan.
He will be remembered as a kind, hard-working, loving man who would do anything for anyone. His will to live was truly inspirational, all the while managing his health challenges.
Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Susie Davidson (Johnston); his much loved son, Thomas (Tom) John Davidson; brothers, Michael Davidson and Willard Davidson (Mary); a sister, Mary Anne Gunther as well as special nieces and nephews. His canine companion Jesse will miss him as well. Beside his parents, Paul was also predeceased by a sister-in-law, Patricia Davidson.
The family wish to express a special thanks to all the Doctors, Nurses and Specialists who provided excellent care and support throughout the years.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
In keeping with Paul’s wishes, a private graveside service will be held with Rev. Joe Beesley officiating.
