It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward Lawrence McIvor on July 1st, 2020 at the York Care Centre in Fredericton. Born on February 5th, 1940, he was the loving partner of Bessie (Powers).
In addition to his wife, Ed leaves to mourn Jenny Long (Doug), Step-Daughter Lorna Ferris (Mark), and Wayne Powers; Grandchildren Rosalee Long, Randy White, Renee Graham, and Randy Graham; Special Niece Linda Long (Vernon); Sister Bonnie Badger (Harry), as well as numerous family members both near and far.
Ed is predeceased by his brothers; Robert McIvor (Lillian), Ralph McIvor (Valerie), Jack McIvor, and Frank McIvor.
Those who knew him would agree that Ed was a man who was very compassionate. He found great joy in helping others and he loved his family very dearly. Ed's compassionate nature didn't just end with his family and friends, it extended to animals as well, he loved them all.
He is a man that will be so dearly missed.
There will be a visitation on Monday, July 6th, 2020 from 1pm until 2pm with a service of remembrance to follow, officiated by Rev. Ralph Irving, in the J.A. McAdam's Memorial Chapel.
